Vliv relativnĂho vÄku (RAE) je fenomĂŠn, kterĂ˝ silnÄ ovlivĹuje sportovnĂ vĂ˝voj mlĂĄdeĹže. RAE odkazuje na neĂşmÄrnÄ vysokĂŠ procento sportovcĹŻ narozenĂ˝ch zaÄĂĄtku kalendĂĄĹnĂho (selekÄnĂho) roku. متن کاملThe relative age effect in elite sport: the French case.
The relative age effect (RAE) is considered a common phenomenon in elite sport. Howeven it has not been examined systematically in previous research, and the mechanisms likely to generate or to limit such an effect are little understood. This paper investigates the prevalence of the RAE in French professional championship-level players, taking into account the potential influence of gender. Amo...
متن کاملShoulder Pain in Elite Swimmers
Much research has investigated shoulder pain which inhibits the performance of elite swimmers. An ever increasing understanding of the epidemiology and aetiology of what has been termed 'swimmer's shoulder' has enabled better treatment, rehabilitation and prevention programs to be implemented. This paper reviews the current research relevant to 'swimmer's shoulder' and the methods of treatment ...
متن کاملTime limit at VO2max velocity in elite crawl swimmers.
The purpose of this study is to assess, with elite crawl swimmers, the time limit at the minimum velocity corresponding to maximal oxygen consumption (TLim-vVO2max), and to characterize its main determinants. Eight subjects performed an incremental test for vVO2max assessment and, forty-eight hours later, an all-out swim at vVO2max until exhaustion. VO2 was directly measured using a telemetric ...
متن کاملMotion analysis of match-play in elite U12 to U16 age-group soccer players.
The aim of this study was to quantify the motion demands of match-play in elite U12 to U16 age-group soccer players. Altogether, 112 players from two professional soccer clubs at five age-group levels (U12-U16) were monitored during competitive matches (n = 14) using a 5 Hz non-differential global positioning system (NdGPS). Velocity thresholds were normalized for each age-group using the mean ...
